Many people have been asking me which direction is the best to face when they do meditation or yoga. According to Jayadev, the founder of the Ananda Yoga Academy of Europe, the wisdom's precise rays beaming toward the west all over the planet. If we sit toward the east direction when we do meditation we get these flows. Besides, they assist us to achieve internal enlightenment as well as relax our body and send the energies from our toes into the brain.
In my point of view, there are no rules for that. You can sit in any direction you feel comfortable with but for doing your meditation and yoga effectively you can face your zodiac sign element direction. For each element (Earth, Fire, Air or Water), there is a specific direction sitting toward them that can assist and empower the intention to connect with each element. If you are Earth, face North. If you are Fire, face south, If you are Air, face East and If you are Water, face West.
