What are Tarot deck cards?

The Tarot (Early name :Trionfi , other names: Taroochi or Tarocks) is a pack of playing cards which has been using as playing card games and fortune-telling tools for centuries. Tarot decks are made up of 78 cards which include 56 Minor Arcana and 22 Major Arcana cards. The Minor Arcana cards includes 4 suits: Wands, Cups, Swords and Coins. Each of these suits are numbered 8 through 10 and also include 4 court cards: a king , a queen, a knight and a page. The Major Arcana cards include 22 Allegorical pictures that most of them are relate to the human journey.  

The history Tarot

The first Tarot decks appeared in the early 15th century in Milan and Ferrara in northern Italy and They were treated as a game. then Tarot travelled to southern France and there people who were more interested in the early renaissance and revived Egyptian philosophy and ancient hermetic philosophy. Their idea was that these were communicating some sort of inner or spiritual development.

By the early 1500s Marseille - France had become a centre of Tarot production and over the a few centuries the Mystical and ancient narrative surrounding Tarot become solidified in the public mind.
Many occultists and authors developed theories regarding the deck and its pictures to ancient symbolism. The Early French occultists claims that tarot cards had esoteric associations with ancient Egypt, the Kabbalah, Indic Tantra or the I ching and these claims have been frequently repeated by authors and card divination ever since.
 In 1854 Eliphas Levi was one of the occultists who wrote a book known as "The doctrine and ritual of high magic". he started to associate tarot with Hebrew alphabet letters, Planets, zodiac signs, elements.
